At Norway Street we do things a little differently!
We operate a set of 4 music / recording studios in Brighton / Hove area.
The studios are not run commercially but instead aim to support emerging talent – whether you are a musician, engineer, podcaster or producer. The studios can be configured to suit your requirements, whether you need amazing microphones, outboard equipment or just a really nice guitar or drum kit.
Studios 2 and 3 are small (suitable for 1 or 2 people) professionally sound-proofed and acoustically treated writing / production rooms with superb equipment at incredible musician-friendly rates! For more info click on the top menu.
Studio 1 is larger room suitable for bands / drummers etc. This is also professionally sound-proofed and acoustically treated and has a superb SSL based recording set up capable of recording 16 channels of audio at a time – all in a mobile rack that can be placed anywhere in the room. In addition, upstairs, we have “The Attic” – a full blown SSL recording studio with incredible monitors and outboard equipment, available to hire on a daily basis.
All the studios come with world class equipment, curated by experts with over 3 decades of recording and producing experience and are professionally sound proofed and acoustically treated.

There is always an in-house engineer on hand who will set you up when you arrive and help you with any extra equipment needs. Altenatively they can engineer / mix for you (although there is an extra cost for this).
RATES
Studios 2 and 3 start at just £70 for an 8 hour day or £180 for 3 days
Studio 1 starts at £100 for an 8 hour day or £250 for 3 days
Monthly memberships are available which give you the best rates – these start at just £150 a month (including the studio time). Email for more info.

We are a 5 minute walk from Portslade station and one minute from a busy high street with shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. The seafront is a just few minutes’ walk away and Brighton city centre a short drive. We are very close to the A27 / A23 if you are driving and there is usually parking outside for loading / unloading and it is free from 12-6 during the day and all weekend.
There is a small kitchen area with free tea & coffee and a microwave and toaster. Upstairs there is a communal lounge area with TV / games / Playstation etc and lots of daylight.
